Electric, Wire with Brick 2x2x2/3 Pair, 378 Studs Long (Refurbished), LEGO® Part# 5306bc378. The length of the cord does NOT include the connector bricks. 

This part has been refurbished with a new silicon coated wire as the original is known to dry rot with time. It has been tested and works with the older 9v train system only.
